Question I had what we think was a chemical pregnancy (or very early miscarriage) in the beginning of December. I took a test the first day of my missed period, and it came back positive. We had been undergoing infertility (IUI & Clomid) and a chemical pregnancy never crossed our minds. I was a couple days late with my period and had a positive at home test! It's hopeful to read that others who've gone through this thing were able to get pregnant soon after their similar disappointment. My HCG levels showed they were going down and I ended up just getting what seemed like a short period 6 days late. Further, he did an u/s to check out my follicles - to make sure they existed, blood work and an HSG. I was told, by the doc, that chemicals are a good sign that your body can get pregnant and is recognizing issues early.
